Q. Does Fridge Guardian affect normal refrigerator operation?
A. No. The Fridge Guardian thermostat is set below the normal refrigerator temperature so it will not turn on or interfere with normal refrigerator operation. Fridge Guardian can remain in your refrigerator all year round ready to protect against freezing.
Q. How much electricity does Fridge Guardian use?
A. Fridge Guardian uses only 170 watts (less that two light bulbs) only when the outside temperature is below freezing and only for short durations.
Q. What safety features are included?A. Fridge Guardian blows only warm air (120 F) and has built-in thermal temperature protection device.
